On Sunday, April 7th, 2013, Alpha Psi Rho & friends assisted in the set-up of the Lao New Year Festival located at Market Creek Plaza in San Diego, California. Alpha Psi Rho has been annually showing up to help out at this event for quite some time now, so it’s  become some what of a traditional philanthropy for us. 13 Year and SDSU Elections!

March 9th, 2013 | by cake

Last weekend, Alpha Psi Rho celebrated it’s 13th year of being a united brhotherhood and driving force in the community when present. We would like to thank all those who came out to our event as well as the people who continue to support us in all of our endeavors. Please continue to support as well will do all in our power to give back.

This next section will be dedicated to our fellow aztecs!

I would like to ask all of you to please stay knowledgeable upon all the great and interesting things that take place on the SDSU campus. Primarily, our Associated Student Government known as AS will be having elections deciding who will take over as out next student president starting next week. I am told that elections will run from March 11-14th. More information can be found at:

Our future executive committee will be representatives not only on campus, but also in situations that will evoke representation of our student population, in other words, YOU, ME, and YOUR FRIENDS! Please take the time to research what each of these candidates offer and vote accordingly. Remember, elections are not only for President, VP, etc. etc., but as well reps for your specific college whether it be the College of Sciences or the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts.

Lastly, I apologize for the lack of consistency in updates, however, I will do better to bring you more information on a consistent basis.

Chinese New Year!!

February 24th, 2013 | by cake

Hey everybody!

Since we are always doing our best to keep you updated with all of our events we are pleased to inform you that last Sunday, in honor of the Chinese New Year (which was actually Sunday, February, 10th), Alpha Psi Rho assisted in the setting up and running of the San Diego Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair! We had a lot of fun at our first philanthropy of the year! Below is a video overviewing our time at the fair. Please stay tuned for more of our upcoming events!

GAME 1!!

February 15th, 2013 | by cake

On behalf of the SDSU APsiRho basketball team, I’d like to welcome you to Spring 2k13 basketball season!!

On Wednesday, Febuary 13th, 2013, we played our first game of the season with a new face of individuals on the team. Today’s players included Terri Plaza, Joseph Mark Bautista, Boris Hope, Jacky Chu, Adrian Villamil, and Jonathan Lowe. Due to a few administration difficulties with the Aztec Recreation Center, the Rho Doggs played with only 6 players for a 40 miute game! And only having one substitute for a whole game is no easy feat.

The opponents were the most team spirited, Sigma Phi Epsilon. Seriously, this team seems to bring a crowd of about 75 people to each game.

The game started off strong as the new team led a small lead at the start of the game. Things were looking up as the Rho Doggs carried the lead till the end of the half! However, SigEp came out strong at half time and took the lead a few minutes into the 2nd half. Up by 10, the game looked to be over, but, the Rho Doggs closed the gap to a 4 point deficit with 6 minutes to play making it 32-36. Yet, SigEp was not ready to give up there lead and won the game at the end.

Coach Rich Vitalich states that “we did some things right, but we have a lot we need to work on.” PG Terri Plaza replied by saying, “That’s why practice is so important.” Hopefully, the Rho Doggs will go back to the drawing and come back out harder than before.

Our Sideline Support featured a few familiar faces, Jerome Pusung and RJ Miyamoto. Being two formers players on the team, they had some words of encouragement to share with the team:

“This is the best team we’ve had in years.” – Miyamoto

“This is a lethal team. I know you guys are in the moment now, but you have to take a step back to see it.” – Pusung

With this and the game in the back of their minds, I predict great things coming from this new squad of players.

Sports Day This WEEKEND!

April 11th, 2012 | by 3 KuDi

Greetings Everyone!

As we are rolling straight through the year and already in April! We’ve been quite busy doing couple philanthropy’s and several fundraisers in the past month or so! Mid March, we conducted a River Clean-up at El Monte Park, East of SDSU. A bunch of us got our hands and feet dirty, as we collected tons of trash. from cigarette butts, to abandoned tires and even ROADKILL. Next, just last weekend, we volunteered at the Lao New Year Festival, celebrating and indulging ourselves in the Lao culture. Through Brhotherhood, we did work and at the same time had a great time. OH! And for all you baseball fans out there, we, APSIRHO are back at working at Petco Park for all the home games! Maybe you’ll see us working there! And lastly, the RhoFam will be having our Sports Day this weekend, so tons of pictures will be up soon!

Stay Tuned!
